Multi Choice Commends NCC, Trains Staff On Anti-Piracy

The management of Multi Choice Nigeria has commended the efforts of the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) at fighting broadcast piracy noting that the scourge is on the decline.

Multi Choice is a major digital TV Broadcast Company and owners of DSTV and GOTV. 

Anti-piracy  Northern Regional Manager, Multi Choice, Mr. Umar Abdulasis stated this during a broadcast piracy training programme organised for Kano and Kaduna states staff members of the Commission on March 20, 2017.

The anti-piracy manager who was also the lecturer and team leader at the event enlightened the staff on broadcast piracy, the various types of broadcast piracy and how it affects Multi Choice and the entire industry.

He noted that cable piracy is the most common form of broadcast piracy in the country and that with the proactive support of the Commission, Multi Choice is tackling the menace.

Mr Abdulasis applauded the Director-General of the Commission Mr. Afam Ezekude and the entire staff of the northern region for adequate policies and continuous support to the Company and other stakeholders in fighting the scourge.

Other members of Multi Choice Company in attendance include Mr. O. Tunde, Mallam U. Shamsudeen; Mr. B. Vincent and the entire staff of the Commission within the region led by the Zonal Manager, North West Hassan Usman.
