The Commission’s, Enugu Zonal Office Manager, Mrs N. C. Okeke disclosed this in a report. According to her the Agencies visited were National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Enugu; Nigerian Customs Services (NCS), Enugu; and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Enugu.
Mrs Okeke noted that the visit was a positive initiative as it gave an opportunity for her to highlight the functions of the Commission and get Agencies to pledge their support to the Commission.
She explained that officers of the Commission first visited the state Command of NDLEA on the 24 March 2015 and were received by the State Commander Barrister Anthony Ohanyere. According to her, the state Commander was very pleased with the Commission’s visit and described it as an “epoch making event” and also pledged to support the activities of the Commission.
The Zonal Manager added that Officers of the Commission also visited the Enugu office of NCS and EFCC on the 26th and 30th March 2015 respectively. She assured that the visit was a huge success as the efforts of the Commission were applauded and that the agencies also pledged to collaborate with the Commission in fighting piracy.
